I don't know if this is a typing mistake, but the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 WR that retails for $400 nominally, is available for $300 (+tax if applicable) right now in Amazon.

You have to go to the link above or click on "new from other sources", otherwise the "lowest price" if you search for the item is still $399.

Ordered one, as Amazon is usually cool honoring those pricing mistakes

Edit: the Silver version is reported $299 as the lowest price without the need to "dig" a level deeper in the sellers.

Edit 2: The Black version is out of stock, and reported as available in 1-4 months. 15 pieces of the Silver version in stock still.

That's the correct price. Fuji is having a sale. Bodies and lenses are $100-$300 off.
I gave a heads up in the Fuji thread a few days ago. Great deal

It is a nice little lens. It focuses faster than the 35mm f/1.4, though I think it seems a little softer in the corners.

The 14mm is a beautiful lens.

After owning both 35 1.4 and 35 2.0 my conclusion is that 2.0 focuses faster than 1.4 in good light. In low light, all of the sudden 2.0 just slows down and often cannot find focus. So much for this new focusing system. On the other hand, 35 1.4 is no speed demon, but in low light it will find focus consistently. 1.4 also to me has much better pic quality and certain old lens feel about how it renders. 35 1.4 is a big winner over 2.0 in my book. However, some would not agree with me

I have the 35 f2 but now with the 35 f1.4 costing $450 I might just get one. I agree the f1.4 has a certain look that I like

If night street photography wasn't so big a part of my photography, I might prefer the f/2. However, t'm keeping the 35mm f/1.4 and giving the f/2 to one of my sons. ;-)

So I bought this for my wife from Amazon less than a month ago. With this thread today, I thought I would check if they would price adjust, as many other retailers do when prices drop within 30 days. They told me their policy is to not allow that, and they wouldn't for me. They did tell me, however, that I can return my lens, and then buy it again for the $100 less. Great job Amazon.

I had the exact opposite experience - literally selling the f/1.4 immediately after using the f/2. Both lenses have the same basic color signature, which is similar enough for me.

I think they are both pretty good lenses. I've been using the f/1.4 since I got my XE1 over three years ago. When I got my XPro2 I went ahead and got a deal on the 35mm f/2 so I picked it up, figuring that one of the two 35mm lenses would go to my son who gets the XE1.

I went back and forth between the two of them. Frankly, both a quite good. I feel like the f/2 AFs just a bit faster, but the f/1.4 AFs faster on the XPro2 than it did on the XE1, and the difference between the two lenses in that regard isn't a big deal. I use the Fujifilm system for travel and street photography, and one of my "things" is handheld night street photography... so in the end I went for the slightly larger f/1.4 aperture.

Yes but af speed is quite poor on 35/2 in low light at least with xt1. I was very surprised by it but later read several reviews pointing it out. For my purposes with a very active always running 4 year old, the af difference is critical and 35/1.4 is just better in low light. In good light 35/2 is faster to focus. Af difference is critical to me.

I've never owned xpro2 so I can't comment how either lens performs on that body

And... my son got my old XE1 with the 35mm f/2 this morning. I think he is pleased. :-)

I've not used the 1.4, but have the 2.0. I really like it. Yea, maybe a little slow in the dark but not terrible. It's very sharp and I love the color and contrast. I would pick this over the 1.4 simply for the weather resistance.

Any thoughts on the 16f1.4 ? Kind of need a wide and sort of prefer 24mm to 21mm though the 14mmf2.8 seem to have some pluses (opitically and physically).

The 16/1.4 is just as good as the 14. It's a fantastic lens. The only real flaw it has is a bit of coma at wide apertures, but otherwise it's nearly perfect.

The "slow" comments are, I think, relative to faster DSLR setups. The 35mm Fujifilm lenses are both better on current Fujifilm cameras than they were on earlier mirrorless Fujifilm cameras and the improvement is probably larger with the f/2.

Apparently Amazpn changed their price match policy recently.

Two quick questions on the 14f2.8: First why are they marked f/x-pro1 (are all 14f2.8 marked this way?). Second when did fuji improve aperture ring (or did they). I mean aroudn what ssn ?

They both work great on the X-Pro2. The f/1.4 lens seems faster than it was on my older Fujifilm body, and the f/2 is snappier on the X-Pro2.
