Visiting the New Museum in NYC yesterday and discovered this talented painter, Nicole Eisenman. One of her influences is a favorite painter of mine, Pieter Breugel, a dutch painter from the 16th century.

For a street photographer, museum photos present possibilities as you can get close to people. Looking at art and photographing people looking at art is an intriguing challenge.

Your comments and suggestions appreciated.

There is a synergy between the painting and the lookers. I just noticed, that guy is mooning us

I wonder about the color gradient on the wall grey left, cream center and light blue right.

+1 @ all counts. Def think there is some mix temp lighting at play here.

Thanks for pointing that out. There were spotlights above the painting that overlapped on the bottom and brightened that area. Will try to even that out.
