And yes, it may or may not be an issue for any given pano, depending on the subject matter, how close it is and how it overlaps the background, and how well stitching inconsistencies can be hidden by artful blending. But to be sure there won't be a problem, a means of rotating around the NPP on both axes is needed.

Awesome thanks, still wrapping my neurons around the concepts. I've only messed around with stitching images and having fun so far. Hardest part is composing the shot in your mind.
