David, I didn't compare the two lenses side-by-side. The impression I got is more just that, impression. Believe it or not the results coming from the two look roughly the same. The difference is more in the overall rendition and not the corners. Do I dare to say for sure that the 12mm lens is sharper? No, not really but based solely on my impression, the files of the 12mm lens seem to have more "crispier" look. And I realize that it is highly subjective, too. Sorry this is not much help, David.
Very interesting. I have the Laowa 12mm, and it's great. But, it's a big f/2.8 lens...tempted to try out the CV 12mm. I asked about the corners, because I am very impressed with the Laowa corners (gets soft in the extreme corners, but mostly sharp throughout the frame). Heck, I thought the CV 10mm had crispy microcontrast - you've got me really intrigued to give the 12mm a try. Wish the CV 15mm (e-mount) wasn't so poor...would love to have a CV 12 and 15 in my bag.
