I bought 2 of the following memory cards and both failed after taking 3-4 shots and recording a few seconds video

Lexar 64GB Professional 1000x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1090744-REG/lexar_lsd64gcrbna10002_pro_1000x_uhs_2.html

Which cards are you all using with success on D500?

Thanks

I am using lexar 2933x xqd card and sandisk 95 Mb/s sd card as overflow.

The lexard 1000x and 2000x sd card is a know problem with the d500. http://www.dslrbodies.com/cameras/the-d5d500-blog/lexar-uhs-ii-sd-cards-in.html

SD's suck. Using Sony G/Lexar 2933 XQD's.
Wish the 500 had twice slots for 'em...amazing cards.

it seems to be isolated to the 64GB cards. I have 2 32GB 2000x cards that run fine and to early 1000x cards in 64GB that also work as adverted that I was using in my D7200 and just got done trying in the D500 with no fault

Me too!!! The price went down a lot and I don't care about sd, was using cf with my D810! Xqd are so fast for read-write! Love them also!

The D500 is capable of UHS-II correct?

I don't think it's just 64GB. I have 2 x 32GB Brand New Lexar 1000X UDS II Cards that won't run either.

I'm using a Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s. Works pretty well for JPEG backups of the RAWs that go on to the XQD card. If I switch to writing RAWs as backup, it fills the buffer very quickly, but using it for JPEG works really well.

Yes only incompatibility issue with sd card are with lexar. Sandisk UHS-II sd card work fine. Seems to be déjà-vue!! Lexar had problem with there cf card playing naughty with the D800!

Good info!

I'm planning on RAW for both primary/secondary.

Looks like 95MB/s is on sale
64GB SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-I/U3 SDXC Flash Memory Card
http://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/195027

But maybe I should go for below two choices:
Transcend 64GB Class 10 SDXC UHS-II SD Card (TS64GSD2U3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015E8K868/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_P42lxb3ZGA3FY

SANDISK Extreme PRO SDXC 64GB UHS-II SDSDXPB-064G-A46 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YT6AAA6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_f52lxbGR4AKCR

So that's why I've got a card err 2 times now on my D500. It's the SD card? I have the 2000x.

Glad to have this info. I've only used the Sandisk Extreme Pro with the D500 so far but just picked up an almost new D4s to mate it with that came with an older but usable Sony XQD so the need for XQD cards just increased. Will order a couple Sony G's and use the Sandisk for backup. Thanks for the heads up.
