I just saw these on Amazon for under $40 and they seem to get very good reviews.

I have a set like those branded Bower, they are sold under dozens of names. Mine came with a used 35mm film camera.

They do have some issues.

1. The big issue is those metal rings attached to the plastic body with far too few screws. If you put a large and heavy lens on them, like a 70-200mm f/2.8L, just a little added force causes the mount to pull away from the plastic body and literally tilt the lens. As you can imagine, top and bottom of the image are blurred. You can see the two rings pull open- literally!

As long as you are aware of this, just be careful. Its worse if two or three of them are joined due to the increased leverage. I manage the two or three times a year I have a use for tubes, so its not a issue. If I were a frequent user, I'd say pass them by.
