Cappadocia's hoodoos, or Fairy Chimneys, have very different shapes and forms according to the area where you find them. Some are elegant and slim, some stout and strong-looking, such as those featured in this image: the soft, pastel pre-dawn light helps mitigating the power of their imposing presence.

Nice subtle colors almost reminds me of a place in New Mexico called kasha-Katuwe.

Thank you for your comment, Rohanban! I checked Kasha-Katuwe and found some images online, the hoodoos look indeed very similar - however, the setting around them seems to be more open in Cappadocia...
