The Indri is not only the largest lemur, it does not survive in captivity. They can be very frustrating to photograph as they spend 100% of their life in trees.
But they are a great attraction and incredibly gorgeous animals; definitely my favourite.
Thanks for looking.

Those greenish eyes are spooky These look good, Don. You did a very good job dealing with a not ideal lighting situation. I imagine you had to use a flash.

What magnificent creatures....the shooting conditions appear even more difficult than gorillas and chimps. Well done Don!

Thanks Eric. Definitely an amazing creature. It's further, hotter and more difficult than chimps or gorillas.
You should go!!!

Hi Don,

These are nice, you might want to try a bit of red eye reduction or some selective darkening to deal with the eyes.

Don, those are good looking monkeys, well photographed under what seem like very difficult conditions.

Don,

I have never seen any creature like that. What a nice set. What is the actual color of the eyes? Same bluish?

Thanks Morris. I like the eyes. That is the real colour of the iris, and there is no retina reflection in these. I would never alter that anyway.

Thanks Peter. These are not monkeys at all, but lemurs. They are primates but quite removed from monkeys. Lemurs are much older.

Thanks Mansur. They are incredible to see. The youngsters may have bluish eyes as shown, but the adults eyes do turn yellow green!

Thanks. I do agree. They should be the face of conservation for the country; as iconic as the panda.
