I go back and forth on this every couple of years and have talked myself off of the wall each time before selling this gem, but here goes. The lens is the coveted Minolta MD 28mm f/2 lens that has been converted to Canon mount (with a chip in the adapter reporting "28mm f/2" to the camera) by Jim Buchanan.
The lens is in great condition and has been a delight to use since it focuses close, for the focal length, and has a beautifully painterly out of focus bokeh. Its small size and bokeh make it a very unusual wide angle lens, ideal for SLR or mirrorless use. Front and rear glass are free of blemishes. Minor dust inside. Minor paint loss along rim of focsing ring...see third image below.
Note that this is a manual focus, manual aperture lens.
I am selling, because I simply do not use it enough to have it sit on my shelf. I shoot mostly tele focal lengths, and even 35mm feels ultrawide to me, so 28mm is more than my brain can handle most days.
