p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · France, Italy, and San Francisco

I generally just lurk on these forums, but thought I'd share some landscapes from a couple cool trips I took this past month.

Mont Saint-Michel, France

Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italy

San Francisco, California

Thanks for looking.

#3 for me! I am no pro, but the shot is very appealing to me. Composition, light, color etc... I'd be very proud if.

These have a very photo journalistic realism and they are nice! Love the San Fran bridge especially!!! Thank you for sharing them.

I like both #1 and #3.

Doesn't hurt that both pull an emotional cord in me. I was born and lived all my youth about an hour from #1 and have been residing near #3 for the last 30 years.

Location #2 could be spectacular but the light you were dealt wasn't very appealing for a general landscape. A tighter close-up on the village might have faired better.

liked your composition and the minimal processing, if any. good eyes and refreshingly different style... voted 😉

agreed with mark m.; images are similar to those from old-time magazines.

point and shoot, phone, or dslr?

Yeah, the light faded quickly on this one. I could crop in tighter, but was trying to convey how small the town was in this little nook on the hillside. We hiked 2hrs up and down some steep hills along the coast to get to the next village (Monterosso) only 2 miles north. The coast kind of curves a little bit so I was able to shoot Vernazza from across the water.

Love the third. To approach such a highly photographed scene and do something new and different with it is really something. Nice job.
