Great shots Jeff. I like them all, although the lowest water droplet on the last rose is a bit distracting from an otherwise excellent shot. When I stole your idea for the red rose , I found it difficult to control the pink fringing on the top edges (most exposed to the light), but you did a great job of minimizing that effect here....did you use the ring light? And if so, is it a flash, or an LED continuous?

Cheer Greg - I am glad that you dig em! Interesting about the droplet as so far most people have liked the extra little nuance. But I am all about seeing both sides of the coin, so thanks for your perspective!
Man, I chose the wrong color roses - that is for sure! I had the same fringe issues as you describe (even though it wasn't TOO badly overexposed) and had to do some low-opacity (read: annoying as all hell) clone work to try to reduce the problem areas.
I did use the ring light! It's a Yongnuo ring flash and I've been super happy with it so far. The Canon may have some more features (I don't rightly know as I've never used it), but the Yonger clocks in at 1/5 the price and produces some nice, even light. Check out the spider pic I posted last week and you can see the really cool catchlights it produces as well!
Cheers,
Jeff
