May Karma come upon them!

In some of the images I miss a little deeper connection.

Number 4 is pure art!

that truly sucks, and is a reminder we have to keep in mind someone always wants to find someone to steal from. I have reduced what I take on these shoots and typically only bring what I intend to keep on me and not leave anything of value laying around. a thief will even break in to steal a mug that is made to look like a camera lens, so even though I think those cups look nice and are fun, the thought that someone would think it's real and bust out my windows, doesn't have the same appeal.

back to your images - #4 is really cool

did you have someone else come along to handle the dog while you weren't shooting with him/her?

Love #3 and #4. #3 you could probably crop tighter on the top and right side. #5, I don't like the leading line (bridge) going right into the guy's face. If you had moved a half step to your left it would have given better separation there.

Sorry about the loss of your gear. Maybe attaching personal security alarms to left behind gear would help to thwart this.

1 & 10 really stand out for me. Color is so good. Such a good session, sucks that it was interrupted by some asshole thieves! What did they make off with? Was it enough to warrant an insurance claim?

Aww man, I feel for you.

For what it's worth: 4 is my favorite. To my screen and eyes, the skin tones are a little too red here and there.

Low-life crooks are everywhere. A couple had their truck broken into a few years ago while I was doing their engagement session. If they see it, they'll steal it, and she had left her purse on the floor. The financial loss is one thing, but then there's also the aggravation of getting things replaced and repaired. Bummer!

This reminds me of my sister
Anytime she has to leave something in the car, she pulls out this old crinkled McDonald's bag
Removes a bunch of crinkled napkins and a wrappers
Puts what she needs to leave in the car inside the bag
Throws the rest of the garbage around the passenger seat
She says then everything just looks like trash and no ones gonna spend time digging thru nasty food garbage to find anything good

Mebbe she's not nuts...

Lovely photos!!!!
I think 3 is my fav, for her expression

If I were to nit pick...

5
Wish their faces weren't RIGHT at the end of the leading line

6
Kinda want half that much empty blackness

Thanks, I was happy that at the very least the photos turned out ok.

Thanks! You make a great point, this was actually the best I have done in so far as how I interacted with them and got them into poses, but I didnt get as much organic interaction as I wanted. (there is some in the full set, but still)

back to
...Show more

They actually brought some friends to watch the dog. They were actually the ones that saw the crooks in action and likely prevented them from digging through the whole car.

They literally smashed the window a few seconds before the couples friends went back to check on the cars, and they took off immediately. No way to stop it. They were casing the parking lot as we pulled up and they saw me get out with a ton of gear.

I lean towards orange/pink and I went even further than my taste here, I will touch up a bit before delivery. Thanks.

The repairs and claims process has been more of a PITA than anything else.

There was nothing visible, they saw me get out with all my gear

In 5 the wind was blowing like crazy, I have frames with better comps, but I only got a few where the wind played nice with the hair/dress. In 6, that is actually a tree stump. I thought I was being awesome with it but it was too much.
