Hmm ... for awhile there I thought you sounded pessimistic about the present season flooded corn field from last year ? I like these two a lot as they remind me of T C Boyle's "A friend of the earth".

This year's crop rotation in Switzerland has mostly barley, wheat, field pea and fall seeded canola (in full bloom right now). Corn was last year too ...

Well, the Spring is just starting here....ever so slowly. I took those pictures yesterday. In a couple of weeks it will all look different.
It is mainly corn country here Santiago, the cows do not complain ( much)

Thanks Bob. The scenery didn't change much from the Fall during this snowless winter.
I used a Samyang 12 mm for this shot, not sure why it reads 50mm in exif.
