Hello to all,

i am a landscape astrophotographer based in Greece and recently i was asked by an online museum
to sell my nighscapes as prints on their eshop.

This online museum is based in the US, so i am a little unfamiliar about printing options there.
The prints would ship from the US to worldwide addresses.

In Greece, i am familiar with printing my photos on Lambda c-paper (photographic paper) with Dibond (light aluminum). For a typical 14x20 inch print, it costs me about 41.5 USD.

What printing options and services would you suggest?
It is likely that we will offer only one size and one material to customers.

Thanks in advance for your time,
Evangelos Makris

What is an online museum and are they legitimate? Do you keep your copyrights? What percentage do they take? If they are doing the printing, it will probably be inkjet on paper. Is this what you want for your style? What is their print quality?

Hi Bernie,

i will try to answer some of your questions.
It's an online history museum that also publishes a e-magazine for subscribed members and has an e-shop. They are legitimate and i will keep my copyrights for my images (non exclusive rights).

As far as i know, the printing job will be outsourced (if i am using the word in a right way).

Kind regards,
Evangelos

Generally people like a choice of sizes depending on where and how prominently they want to place the artwork.

It sounds like the big question is if the outsourcer (third party) is doing the printing, then are they meeting your quality standards? And finally, only you can answer for yourself, it this making business sense for you?
