p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Image output setting in Canon DPP to print

This is a very basic (newbie) question, I'm sure as I have been using my mac "photos" to process images... And its very basic

Now on to DPP-4 and am wondering when saving a file to print ..

What output setting to use? Iam seeing a choice of resolution from 1 to 60,000 pixles/inch ? (its DPI)

I saved a few at 6000 dpi and they are large files, but show up on my epson printer as tiny thumbnails...

Any suggestions would be very appreciated

LuckyT

PS .. I plan on sending several in to have printed around 16 X 20 on metal in the near future...

EDIT.. Canon DPP-4 saves images from 0 to 60,000 DPI (dots per inch)

I recommend 300 ppi if you are using a Canon printer; 360 for Epson

If you set 6000 pixels/in, and you have a 3000 x 4500 pixel image (which is a large one) it would print as 1/2 x 3/4 inches. (3000 pixels divided by 6000 pixels per inch would be 1/2 inch).
