Hey all.

I currently have a heavy duty Manfrotto 682B Monopod with ball head ~ over 4.4 pounds and almost 6' 6" extended. Love it but mainly used for birding with big lenses.

Any suggestions for a lightweight sturdy monopods I can use for occasional useage. I shoot/hike mainly a canon 6d with primes so not crazy heavy would be ideal.

Thanks!

This Feisol is nice and sturdy, a pound lighter than your pod. Despite the low weight, I can use it with large lenses easily.

Probably need a lighter ballhead to make a big difference.

Mefoto sells their Walkabout monopods.
I have no idea what they're like, but have seen them online. Website says they weigh 1.4 pounds.
