I've been shooting Fuji for around 6 months now, and love the system. There are quirks and shortcomings, but shooting with the XT1 and some Fuji primes has rekindled my desire to simply go out and "shoot".
That being said, the recent release of the X-Pro 2 has made me think what I'd like to see in the XT2, whenever it is released....
-Base ISO of 100 (or even 50)
-Able to capture RAW at all ISO’s
-2-axis level
-Assign AF-L (or other button) to AF (to separate AF from the shutter button)
-View long exposure progress (a la Olympus’ Live Time)
-Built-in ND filter
-More robust SD card door
-Dual SD card slots
-Exposure bracketing up to +/- 3EV
These are just some things on MY wishlist. I know every camera can't be everything to everyone, but I can hope
What are other wishlist ideas for the XT2 you have?...Show more →
-Base ISO of 100 (or even 50)
Not likely to happen. I'll let someone else explain, but from what I've read the way that Fuji measures ISO is different than a lot of other manufacturers.
-Able to capture RAW at all ISO’s
X-Pro 2 already does this, so don't see why it won't be the same.
-2-axis level
Would be nice.
-Assign AF-L (or other button) to AF (to separate AF from the shutter button)
Would be nice to have.
-View long exposure progress (a la Olympus’ Live Time)
I don't see this happening, the additional feature set of Fuji lags behind Olympus (mostly built in) and Sony (via paid apps)
-Built-in ND filter
Not going to happen. Only occuring on fixed lens cameras.
-More robust SD card door
X-Pro 2 is more robust, so I could see the X-T2 being better sealed.
-Dual SD card slots
Not sure if this is likely, if they keep the same body size, might not be able to fit. If they increase size I could see it happening.
-Exposure bracketing up to +/- 3EV
Took them this long to get to +/- 2, give it 4-5 years for them to get to +/- 3
For me I would like all of the X-Pro 2 improvements.
- Improved EVF
- 4k video
- Non mushy buttons. Take the buttons from the X-Pro 2 and just glue them on
- Use the Olympus way of using a dial lock. Click down like a pen to unlock, click down again to lock. This was one of the things I hated about the Sony a7rII, having to hold down the button to change the mode dial.
