I mean this

Improved the AF accuracy of Canon EF lenses that are not fully compatible with the SIGMA MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 (EF-E only)

And this

[Lenses that are not compatible with the MC-11]
We will continue to consider ensuring stable operation of lenses that are not compatible with the MC-11. Therefore customers who are using the MC-11 can enjoy photography as much as possible with their own lenses even though there may be some restrictions. However, please note that due to the characteristics of the products, accurate operation, including AF, is not guaranteed with lenses that are not compatible with the MC-11.

Clear now?

The above sentences were not written by me but by Sigma.
I bought the adapter and Sigma lenses also because of that.

Can you give me the link or links of the quotes, please? Thanks!

As far as the second quote concerned, yes, I could see that. Since there are a lot of Sigma lenses are not compatible with the MC-11. But that they were referring directly to Canon lenses.... I am not aware of that. If that was coming of Metabones, that makes sense but from Sigma? I am not sure...

Does anyone know if the latest firmware allows this converter to work with the sigma 500mm F4.5 EX DG either the OS or non OS versions. I am considering buying one of these lenses used but want to make sure it works with the mc-11 first.

I recently purchased a sigma EX DG 150mm F2.8 macro (non OS). I tried it on the mc-11 with a7r II before updating the mc-11
Firmware and autofocus did not work at all.
Update 8-8-2017 I finally upgraded the firmware in the mc-11 last night and retested the sigma 150 macro and Autofocus now works well at the middle and infinity focus settings but hunts a bit and has trouble focussing on low contrast scenes like a white flower. So I had to turn the focus dial to help it autofocus or focus manually. I have no experience with this particular macro outside of using it with this adapter so I dont know if that is normal. I am very happy it is working for the focal lengths it is though.

I am still realky curious on whether it will work with the sigma 500mm f4.5 though.

Hi, I've not seen any post related to Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 APO DG OS HSM Canon. Have anyone tested this lens with mc-11? Thank you in advance for information 😁

Has anyone else tested out the current firmware version? I'm still on a pre-1.06 firmware and wondering if Sigma finally sorted issues out.

Any particular questions, lens/camera combinations, etc?

I'm using the Sigma 135mm art Canon mount on an a7rii with the latest firmware. Everything seems fine including eye AF in both AF-C and AF-S. It does occasionally hunt. I'd say it hits roughly 75% depending on conditions (where in the frame I'm focusing, how the light is, how "contrasty" the item is I'm trying to focus on, etc).

You can try it then rollback to 1.05 if needed:

Hi all,
Sigma claimed MC-11 turn the Sigma ART lenses to native lens's features. AF-S, AF-C, EYE AF, high speed focusing etc. Im just shoot still. Anyone can advise above statement is true? Any tested and confirmed the result? Im in the middle of picking either MB5 or MC-11. Thank you in advanced.

I own the MBV and MC-11 and I'd call the Sigma performance "nativish", for stills.
I compared the Art 50 1.4 and Zony 50 1.4, and found very similar performance - for my shooting style (others have reported otherwise, FYI).

I use the 50, 85 and 135 in the Art line, and like them all. Performance ranges from very good, to sometimes frustrating when the lens randomly hunts - but I did see some random hunting with the Zony 50 1.4 as well.

Expecting perfect native performance, from adapted lenses, isn't realistic - at least not at this point.

So, temper expectations and evaluate them, based on your needs.

I am pretty sure they never claimed AF-C as they many times have mentioned the adapter only officially supports AF-S.
For my personal needs owning the Sigma 135mm 1.8 Art, Canon 35mm 1.4L ii, 300mm 2.8 non IS and Taqmron 15-30mm 2.8, my choice is the Metabones V. I still own the MC-11 but dont use it.
The Metabones firmware v57 introduced Eye AF with any lens that works in Continous mode across the whole frame where the Sigma is limited to the center area in Continous mode. Plus with Metabones you can change to green mode if you want for faster AF so you get to choose how the AF works.
You can see a comparison video I did here:

Still loving the MC11 and Sigma 135mm Art!! Iso 100, f1.8, 1/1600 Sony A7rii. This is my go to lens for portraits and I have not had any issues with focusing since the release of the new firmware!

I'm surprised how well the MC-11 adapter works with the Canon 24-70LII and 200/1.8L lenses.

what's your experience like with that adapter and the 200 1.8, Fred? I'm thinking of going to a Sony system very soon and that's one of my favourite lenses to use. Thanks!

Wow I drool about that lens! You know based on my experience with the MC-11 and the Metabones, at least with my lenses which include the 300mm 2.8 non is and 35mm 1.4 L ii, I would try your lens with the Metabones first because you get two modes..advanced which gives you all native features including Continous Eye AF across the whole frame. With that lens and its thing DOF, that feature alone is more than welcomed. Plus you can switch to green mode for faster AF like for action.

Nima,
The MC-11 is fast and accurate with the 200/1.8. Lovely set-up (heavy too
I'm sure Metabones will be just as good.
