I once owned the Z* 25/2.8 and it was a great lens on the A900. I don't how it is on 36MP's. I currently own the Sigma Art 24/1.4 and I hope they offer it in Pentax K mount at some point (as I could get a mount change from Sigma). That lens is remarkably sharp corner to corner on the A7r.
One lens that is not quite up to 36MP's corner to corner is the OM 24/2.8. I own it and it's nice - exceptional even on APS (or on a lower MP FF) - but it does not take full advantage of a 36MP FF sensor with regard to resolution....Show more →
The 25 does well on the a7rII, so it should be good on the K-1. Nice and sharp wide open across 90% of the frame, with the edges and corners sharpening up acceptably at 4, great at 5.6. FC when close focused and vignetting are it's biggest problems. I think it would pair up well in high-res mode for some landscapes. I honestly didn't think I was going to be all that impressed with the lens when I picked it up since it doesn't receive the love the Distagon 21 does, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've since upgraded to the ZF.2 25/2, and I've convinced myself that the extra stop and marginally better edge performance at wider apertures were worth the increased size, but every time I stop it down to 4, there's a voice in my head that tells me I could be carrying around a much smaller lens with visibly indistinguishable performance.
I agree with you on the OM 24. I think a lot of lenses we were happy shooting on smaller and/or lower res sensors are getting re-evaluated now. It's tough to see all the deficiencies in our treasured lenses go from hardly noticeable to glaringly obvious.
