Description: A living legend. Canon EF 200mm f/1.8 L USM. A.k.a., “The Eye of Sauron”. It has flawless glass with a small amount of internal dust (no effect on images, at all). External cosmetics are E+ condition with a few marks in the paint that are clearly visible in the attached photos. It’s an awesome lens but I haven’t used it in at least a couple of years, and so it’s time to go. It has date code UG (1992). I bought it 2010. It’s been kept in a smoke-free home. It works perfectly. It comes with a lot of useful extras, including a RRS replacement foot (shown in photos), Don Zeck hard cap, and LensCoat digital camo covers. Photos are of actual item. I am selling for a little more than your typical version (without case) of this lens because of the condition and bundled items.
Specs: max. aperture = f/1.8, min. aperture f/ =22, N aperture blades = 8, min. focus distance = 2.5 m, weight = 3.0 kg, length at inf. focus = 208 mm, max. diam = 130 mm, filter diam = 48 mm drop-in, mount = Canon EF.
Condition: Optical condition: glass is clean and clear, no chips, scratches or cleaning marks; inside of lens is clean and clear, with a small amount of dust (no effect on images); no fungus or other gunk. Operational condition: autofocus, focus range limiter, focus preset, and aperture all work properly; aperture blades are clean and snappy (no oil). Cosmetic condition: very nice, faint signs of use, slight brassing or paint loss in a few areas (visible in attached photos), no dings and no dents.
Includes: the lens, original metal hood, original 48mm drop in “gel holder” filter, dedicated RRS replacement tripod mount foot (Arca-Swiss compatible), original tripod mount foot and original foot screws, original front cover (i.e. leather hood) in M- condition, complete set of LensCoat digital camo covers, and original end cap.
Please ask questions before buying.
