This winter hasn't been too fierce in the Palouse. There was decent snow at the end of December, but its 50+ degrees in Colfax right now which is unseasonably warm. Here are a few photos of a snowy and mostly snow-free Palouse. Any and all feedback is much appreciated.

#1. The snow had been around for a while but I found a good spot with deeper snow still hanging around.

Hey Aaron,

Its not green, but you have some really nice shades of brown/orange there. I like the 2 snow ones also, those were from last month?

These are sweet, great study of shadows and textures in 1 & 2 and it's great see this area in it's winter coat instead of the more popular golf course green. 3 is the standout for me, I love that snow lurking in the shadows and the way you've used it to accentuate the lit butte. Nice work.

Aaron, I like these. The third image looks particularly nice to me! The shadows and colors are wonderful.

Jim, the first two photos were taken on January 4. The last two photos were taken Jan 31. The temps have been in the high 40s/low 50s all last week and that isn't forecasted to change. It could be an early spring and subsequent harvest on the Palouse this year.
