Just back from a family holiday in Tasmania. I'm still working through my shots, here are a couple more.

Wonderful images mate! #1, the silhoutte of the mountains against the beautiful horizon and the reflection... all rippers for sure! Great work!

The silhouetted landform and simplicity of the first shot are just great. It is very easy to view and enjoy the colors when they are laid out in such a pure and clean way. I also like #2 a lot for the striking detail in the near cliff and the natural layout of the less contrasty background. It has a natural feel to it and the boat is a nice accent. The jetty shot may be traditional but it is well executed with just enough texture in the water and some nice, dark shadowy details in the pier. Must have been a gentle breeze to keep the anchored boats still. My only quibble is with the last picture and what seems to me to be an excess of saturation. I would either tone it down or use the bold colors to make a strong black and white.

All of them world class Wayne but Bay of Fires I can see you printing super large, ah not that you haven't done that already.

So for me, I agree with many of the previous comments that #1 is a wonderful shot, and I enjoyed 2 and 3 as well, but I need to throw a little love towards #4 - I mean it is the absolutely arresting image of the group for me. The comp is great, love the small tree and the colored rocks in the foreground that I assume give the place its name, but the 'timing' of your shutter click, with the sky drama and crashing wave, really make it. The color throughout is very dramatic too. That needs to be up on the wall BIG somewhere...

Inspirational stuff; puts Tasmania on the list for me!

Lovely images. Great to see something from Tasmania.

Did you visit the Mt Field National Park as well? Some great waterfalls there.

Thanks Chetan. We did quickly pop into Russell Falls even though it wasn't really on the agenda for this trip. The rainforest there was actually looking quite dry, not the lush greens I was expecting, and there wasn't a great deal of water flowing over the falls. I decided it was probably a good idea to save Mt Field for another trip.

Thanks so much Mikey. The orange lichen on the rocks is very striking but not where the name "Bay of Fires" came from, although I'd always assumed this myself. The bay was named by early sailors who passed by at night and saw many aboriginal campfires dotting the coastline of the bay. I noticed the orange lichen seemed to be quite common along much of the east coast.
