Just curious about this topic and Id love to see what your guys's view on this are! Whats your favorite Canon lens ever made? For myself, Id honestly have to say the 70-200 f/2.8 IS II or the 200-400 f/4L IS!
200-400 for the flexibility, but I think the 400/2.8 is still a bit sharper and with less falloff at the edges. Sometimes the 200-400 gives a slight swirly-tunnel impression, IMO.
The one that earned me the most income is my old trusty 400 2.8 II (non IS)... The lens that earned me the $$ to afford that 400 was a 100-400 mk I (I sold thousands upon thousands of 4x6's at Youth baseball tournaments, my family still cringes at the sight of a white 3-ring binder!)
