I always wear my credentials and introduce myself to the coaches and officials.
Great job, keep it up.

In the first shot, go a little wider and don't cut the toe. On the second... let batters be batters and catchers be catchers. Don't include both in the same frame. Not a steadfast rule but you usually want to shoot tight enough to separate one or the other. Keep shooting and have fun.

You'll be amazed how easy shooting through a fence can be. It's really more of a factor of three things... a long lense, a fence in shade and not backit, and color of fence. Black is better. With those three things you could actually be as far as 10 feet back and still shoot through.

Where on the field would you suggest standing?

I've been inside the fence further up the foul line from #8. Kneeling down with monopod and keeping an eye on foul balls. Interference if you deny fielder access to make a play. Gives a great shot for righty batters, BR to first and slides at 2B. They were LL minor league so easier access. Also from the dugout but I was also the manager so easy to keep gear in the dugout. That game is much older than LL so not sure what their rules are regarding photographer access.

If you plan on spending ANY time on the field
1) Never turn your back on the ball.
2) Wear a helmet.
3) Have insurance paid up.
