I need a new camera strap. I don't particularly like the ones that screw into the tripod mount on the bottom. I want to carry two camera bodies.

Thanks for your help!

Have used many over the years, and always come back to the Domke Gripper straps.

The elk hide grips your shoulder just the right amount. Don't let the narrow width scare you away. It's really comfortable on a gripped 5D3 w/100-400L.

OpTech has some great gear. I use their ProStrap. I have looked their dual harness for extender shooting. Great quality, budget friendly and can be attached to camera lugs or camera/grip lugs.

I typically use a spider holster

when I want a real strap, I use a strap, but connected to my camera bodies by peak design clips. Then I can easily remove the strap and use the strap on different camera bodies.

Another like for the OP/TECH Pro. You can get an extra set of "ends" and leave them attached to the camera and just clip in as needed.

My favorite is the Black Rapid Cross Shot. I use a tether too in case the fastenr comes loose...which hasn't so far. But since you mentioned you didn't like that type of strap...I would start with the OP/TECH and go from there.

I use the BR strap, BUT, since I always have a RRS L-bracket it is easy to make a safety latch that goes from the BR strap hook to the loop in the bracket, so I don't worry about it unscrewing.

I know you don't like tripod screws, but if you ever get a chance, try on a moneymaker by holdfast gear. I wear one 8-12 hours every Saturday. Amazing product

When I just need an ordinary strap and not a BR type sling strap I find the TT one pretty good

https://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/camera-strap-v2?variant=1243703015

It is not bulky and the non skid on both sides is great.

I really like the OP/Tech Utility sling strap with two 8 inch extenders. The whole rig is about $35 and it is very comfortable.

That's a great looking strap. Super sticky and looks like it would fold-up into the camera bag very nicely. Might just have to buy one of those.

Yup, and TT also make some accessory straps that hook into those rings and link to your back pack shoulder straps - supposed to be for a TT harness but seem to work on most packs.

Your heaviest lenses are only moderately heavy so even the Nikon strap should be serviceable. It it hurts you neck then get anything wider. A harness is another great way to save your neck.

The Carry Speed FS-PRO is my current strap of choice. Excellent wide strap which comes with an extra quick release safety strap for added security. Bonus is the ingenious lock/quick release metal fixing and the mount which is Arca-Swiss compatible.

Why do you want to carry two bodies strapped on? I have only one body with its strap over a shoulder and the other camera is in my hands.

The only strap that I have found and liked is the Tamrac N25 neoprene quick release strap that sells for $21. I started using quick release straps with my underwater photography as I could not leave the strap on the camera and get it into the underwater housing. I later found it was equally useful to remove the strap on a camera when the camera was mounted on a tripod.

The neoprene strap material conforms to the shape of my shoulder and so does not slip off the way firm straps and pads have always done. The neoprene stretches and so acts like a shock absorber and makes a big difference in comfort with when using a full size camera with a heavy lens (14-24mm or 70-200mm).

I spent hundreds of dollars on camera straps that ended up in the trash for one reason or another. Only the Tamrac straps which I have been using for more than a decade remain my favorite and they are on each of my 5 bodies and will be added to the D500 when it arrives.
