This spot is sort of popular now but the clouds were ripe for a long exposure and the gap at the horizon let in some beautiful soft side light so I thought I would share. All comments welcome and thanks for viewing, Dean

I was using a 10 stop ND filter for the LE, I had been experimenting with several lengths for the exposure and cloud movement lines . When I started to exceed 3 min the movement lines started to get to blurred beyond what i was looking for. Given the light at the time I need 800 @ F8 for 3 min. I,m shooting with a Canon 5DIII very little noise at the higher ISO .

I like this shot, particularly the direct light on the pilings. That sets it apart I think.
The last few times I went to this spot there were sea gulls on every piling, in the water and flying around. Made it hard or impossible to get a good shot with hundreds of blurred birds due to the long exposure.
Totally something different compare to many other photos from the same place.
