You know me, more often than not looking for the humor in situations. Your critiques and suggestions appreciated.

Considered that but wasn't sure if I was eliminating some of the "found" aspect of this visual.

One of the reasons I posted this was to highlight the interesting discussion that Scott and Melor were having in a previous thread about how photographers find and see things that others miss.

I think the "look what I found" aspect is sufficiently strong without the partial letter @ it still stands on its own to present the contextual contrast between the verbal "ear" and the physical "leg". Imo, no need to have the distracting partial letter to dilute the message / pull us left out of the frame. Nitville, so it probably doesn't really change the essence that much, though. Still a clever find.

Well seen, I would have passed it by without notice.

Good one Steve
I agree with Kent about cropping out the partial letter

Then again, I saw that beautiful landscape radar emanating from your eyes.

At first I could give or take the partial letter, but now I really like the fact that it SAYS ear and SHOWS leg.

Neat find, Steve - I'd apply some sharpening and dodge the left edge/upper-left corner a bit.

Cheers,

Jeff

Actually it has been many years since I walked down a street like this. I get to malls maybe once or twice a month, but never a place like this. My town of American Fork must have a few store fronts like this, I just have no need to go there.

Of course I spent my first 40 years in the Los Angeles area so there was a time when I did.

I probably don't see landscapes the way you see these, I tend to be more of a copy cat. I find my landscapes in galleries then I go out and copy them. I do look for originals, but so far not very successfully.

Will work on upper left where for some reason it seems a little darker.
I did sharpen from original, my usual 50%. Sharpening usually is a mystery to me. i'm never quite sure how much to sharpen. Do u have a formula that u use, or is it strictly to "taste"?

I do everything to taste, ha. I'm not much one for recipes.

+1 @ sharpen to taste ... that or an "evaluation" of file structure. One size does not fit all, but there are some "standard" recipe's out there that cover the bases for a given file size / output size relationship for expediency. Folks doing event, etc. really don't have time to custom sharpen every image. Those of us doing "one off" type stuff have the luxury of time to dial things in more.
