2. I have to say, I think I have finally seen the light.

3. As much as I love sports photography I think the end is near for me.

4. It's getting to where there are too many people clawing and gouging for attention in a market that is shrinking more and more each year.

5. Even with exclusive photography rights and restricted access to events , it is a constant battle to compete with hundreds of free photos plastered all over Facebook by PWCs (poachers with cameras.)

6. Some wise photographers on this board have seen it coming and made the prediction years ago that the market was dying. Many of them switched gears and some, like me, have tried to ride it out.

9. I still love photography and plan to keep active but I just don't have the stomach for the sports market anymore.

10. I'm working on getting out of sports and beefing up my wedding business. More money, less work.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/snaptie2002/FM%2055/0134_zpsytxp5kps.jpg
11. I will still do some magazine work and a few special events, even though they pay crapola, because I really do have a soft spot for sports photography. But it's just bad business.

12. Without taking anything away from all the many talented wedding shooters out there, I think anyone who has a solid sports shooting background is well prepared to make the transition from sports to weddings.

13. After shooting tens of thousands of photos of dangerous, fast moving objects and people in dark, crowded places, a bride coming down the isle in a quite, climate controlled church ain't all that scary.

14. Plus, one is a lot less likely to get hurt.

15. And on that cheerful note, wish me luck in the world of weddings and good luck to all of you in the sports world.

16. As always, thanks for looking!
