Thanks Paul for starting this thread. I love this thread as a chance to see what others see, learn from them and steal some ideas.
This has been a fun sports year for me as I shot a lot of fun stuff, from NCAA Tournament Basketball, NCAA Football (some really good teams like Oklahoma came to town), and my son started playing HS football as a Junior after taking a couple of years off and my daughter played and started in nearly every soccer game as a Freshman. So, the narrowing down to 5 was extremely tough. And these may not be my technically best 5, but they mean something to me.
1. Just like the action and colors in this one.
2. TN had Oklahoma on the ropes, but could not finish it out, eventually leaving Oklahoma a chance to win it all.
3. The end of the high school football season can and for most, means the end of a career.
4. Debated about this one. In the end, the girl "plays" with fire. Pretty cool.
5. Not a great image, but here I am shooting my son's second game of the season and they are losing a game they should be winning. His team scores and goes on to try a 2pt conversion. I am shooting and pretty oblivious to who is on the field. Normally, he plays defensive end and only plays tight end rarely. I miss the fact that he lines up near me and for some reason the QB throws to him. He makes a nice catch, gets hit hard and is driven backwards but has already broken the plane and gets the score. He rolls over and we make eye contact and somehow I keep on shooting and some seconds later realize it is my son. His first points of his HS career. I got the whole series of the catch, the hit, etc, but the making of the eye contact makes it a keeper for me.
