Just ordered this lens, interested in seeing what people have gotten out of it, especially on FF. It probably won't match the creamy color and atmosphere of the 35 f/1.4L, but I tend to use that one indoors and on a tripod. Freehand I need the IS ( except with the 135L, which has secret IS ). If the 35 IS turns out to be very good, I'll probably sell the L.

Thanks, for reminding me about that lens. Almost forgot I owned it! Great little optic. My only complaint is it isn't much good for movie servo.

I love this lens! Great images -- sharp and colorful, fantastic IS, and relatively cheap (I bought mine used for under $400). I don't often shoot wide open, and if that were a priority, I'd probably get the 1.4L (as well).

It's handy from close-up to infinity.

Some good illustrations of the range of uses for the 35mm, from the single flower to landscape shots from Jim. group shots from snapsy, portrait from Gochugoggi. Looking forward to more.
Gochugoggi - like the palm branches in B & W - looks Hollywood.

Like everyone has said it's a great lens with great features (AF and IS).
I tested extensively against my Zeiss 35mm f2 ZE and they were very close.

I don't use as much now as I have the A7r.

These were all taken on 5D2

John, that vintage mustang is looking good! I think the 2015s are pretty snazzy, too - Detroit might have recovered some of its design chops. That's an interesting perspective for the wall with the ghostly figures.
