Thought id try my hand at some fine art flowers on my dinning room table..Really just playing around trying different things and using a black towel on my recycle bin as the back drop....Playing with my post work as well....Thanks for looking.

No expert on the genre, but I like this. Great background, all the petals seem to be in focus and the colors are good. I know that reds can be very difficult on flowers. Nice arrangement too.

I can appreciate that....Being from Canada's west coast salmon is a familiar color

Overall, it is a nice presentation. Lovely salmon color!
To my taste, lighting on some petals is harsh. The image could benefit with more diffused or softer lighting setup.

Thanks you Henry....This is the first time I've tried this style of photography..... I used the overhead light in the dining room, one table lamp, and a Tupperware lid as a reflector.... I'm laughing as I post this...My friends wouldn't believe if they knew how I did this..The use of lighting is really an art for sure....This was fun to try anyway

Nice job. The focus, lighting and colors all look good. I do think I would burn down the brightness of that one petal but that is largely a matter of taste.

Now that you have your lighting working, I would suggest trying a variety of compositions. This is nice but centered and static. Try some compositions with diagonals and off centered elements.
