p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Studio shooting with flash with EOS-M3: dark display

Hi to everyone.
It's just me, or there isn't any option in EOS M3 to keep a clear display when in manual mode, and connected to a radio flash controller?
I am able to see the image on the screen just for the short time needed for AF acquiring, and after that the screen becomes as dark as far away you are from the correct exposure.
Coming from Olympus, I was used to set "boost EVF", wich I can't find on my M3 menu.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion!

On Sony cameras, you turn effects off to get the evf to function.

Yes, this is because exposure simulation is always turned on my M (1) and it seems that it cannot be turned off. I am surprised that this is still the case for the M3.

Well, I have to say that exposure simulation in M3 is not always on; you get it only while you are setting exposure itself or +/- correction; after that, the display shows a normalized image. But when you mount a radio trigger on the shoe, it happens what I described.

Just to let you know how it ended: I had to use a small Canon 270 flash as pilot; it fixed the issue.
