I've got a trip to BC coming up and, while the primary focus is work, I'd like to be ready to shoot if given half a chance. I'll be travelling fairly light and, to that end, just found a deal here on FM on two EF-s lenses, the 10-18mm STM and the 18-135mm STM. It's been awhile since I've had any EF-S lenses and these updated STM lenses seem to get good reviews.

I'm taking my Sigma 150-600 'C' and my Canon 1.4 TC III. Paired with my 7DII I'm suddenly covered from 10mm to 840mm in crop-ville (or 16mm to 1344mm in FF equivalent). I feel very lucky as this seems a remarkable time to be a hobbyist photographer.

So, will I be in trouble having not covered off the 135 to 150mm range??

Only if you run into a lens cop; "Sir, may I please see your license, registration, and range of focal lengths".

Seriously, no worries.

Yes!!!!! That is by far the most important 15mm. You should buy the canon 135_150L,supposed to be an amazing lens.

That is horrible....just forget about the trip and stay home. There is no way you will come back with any useable images if you don't have 135-150 covered. I can't believe you are actually considering leaving the house without those 15mm.....geezz.....

I had a feeling it would come to this. What's that go for at B & H?

Pick up an 85mm prime and you will lessen the gap to 136-150

I'd buy a kenko 1.4TC to take instead of your Canon 1.4TC. Not only would it match color-wise with the Sigma 150-600, something that would otherwise bother an OCD person like me, but also you could put it on your 18-135 STM to cover that 135-150mm gap. I think that'd be a really wise decision.

Or pick up the Sigma 1.4 which should be best although Imagemaster's testing showed it isn't. Just don't upgrade you lens FW if you want to keep using the 1.4TCIII on 7D2......but I think you already know that....
