So I decided to check out this board and saw that you posted here. I clicked on the link and WOW! an amazing image but as I started to look at it, the hyper real butterfly's body looked out of placed. I loved the soft focus flowers and the soft colors, quite beautiful but the butterfly didn't quite fit. (I have always been impressed by the way you photograph these small creatures, getting such sharpness, detail and depth of field.) After looking at this image for a while and trying to fit the butterfly into the image, I noticed that about 1 inch of the right side was cropped off in the FM scroll down page. I double clicked the image and saw the full image for the first time. It looked so much better the composition was just right and the butterfly seemed to nestle down into the center of the image and looked really good.
Really a great image, you made my day or week or month. Thanks for posting.

Thanks so much Brian. This is my first foray into this type of thing. Lots of fun and I can see where one could get very creative.

An absolute beauty, Birdie. Flower in lower-left could be removed, but not necessary. Just needs your signature in the lower right and a more distinct double mat added.

Even though you have gone for the soft, textured look, I think this would really shine as a metal print.

Good frame choice. It would also look great printed on a type of rice paper.

Very nice Roberta. A harddrive crash resulted in my losing the ability to transform photos to painting, while I didn't use it extensively, I do miss
it from time to time.

Very well done...

I agree with Tony. but the metallic print I would recommend would be on Kodak Endura paper

I got some samples printed and the HD will blow you away. HD better than print on aluminum (Chromalox)

BTW.. The image is not printed on that paper - it is developed with light (similar to old photographic paper)

But let the lab color correct, since they usually don't give you the color profile for the special machine they're using
