Craig: Thanks for you comment, I'm a real fan of your off-the beaten path finds in the great SW, and still hope to catch up some time to explore.
Dan and Steve: Thanks. #4 was taken on a pre-sunrise drive to the High Peaks to catch up with Dean. There were only patches of color along the road, but this one caught my eye, so we stopped and caught it. Of course we also climbed down to the swamp and got a couple down there; where the mist was thicker, and there was some side lighting to pull out some color in the background tress. I'll post that one later.
Scott: Thanks. I'm anxious to get up to Manitoba some time. I was there once as a kid, and would love to visit again. If I can arrange it next year, I'll contact you.
Dean: #1 was taken at one of my favorite Southern Adirondack fall sites. It's a bit off the road, and is not visible from the road, but it always has great color, including some deep reds on the swamp maples. But in this odd and sporadic year for color, I had given up on it. But drove by looking for some mist and color and ran into this.
I meant to fix that blue sky spot in #4, but forgot. Thanks for the reminder. Looking forward to catching up for some takes in your Harriman.
