p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Elinchrom Rotalux Deep Octa for the road??

Thinking about getting the 39" Elinchrom Deep Octa because of its reputation, but I'm wondering about how it would hold up on the road. Does it take a lot of time to set up and is it sturdy enough to set up and break down multiple times a week?

What are your experiences with this soft box?

Thanks,

Larry

I use mine on location. Its hi quality and isn't hard to setup when using proper technique. Search youtube for setup demos.

It's a great tool whether you're in the studio or on location. I take my 150cm Rotalux with my everywhere but remember at least a C Stand and a couple of set weights to secure it. I remember setting up a 72" Octabank on location and this is as good but slightly smaller.

I've brought it overseas and it's a good size for travel. I did have to take it
apart all the way to check in my luggage but in other trips carried it over the
shoulder in the bag.

It doesn't really need to be taken apart after use; the rods stay in place and folds
in like an umbrella.

Thanks everyone. That seals the deal! I see a Deep Octa in my near future.
