No filters in use. That seems a weird reflection or ghost image. Never seen one with other lenses on A7R2.

I've seen this in my last night shots with the A7II too. The Loxia 21 seems to provoque sensor reflections in some circumstances.

It is not only the ghost sunstar, it is also the area of the picture around the ghost which suffers from some kind of haze and loss of contrast. Classic Distagon 21mm does not do this.

It is different also than the original A7 sensor flare. Here is an example of A7 sensor flare (with 21mm classic distagon)

Those red & green dots around the light and the flare.

Yeaaa. A7 does it with any lens against bright light.

So a 52 to 62 step up ring plus 2 filter rings does not vignette with or without glass. Serves as a hood and unscrew two filter rings and you can use 2 filters.

That's great to see. There is hope I can use my 100mm ND filter holder and adapter.

There should be no problem using your Loxia 21mm with adapters and several 100mm ND filters with your Lee Holder. I believe at least from initial tests that I could use my Leica WATE which uses 67mm filters when the lens was set at any of the 3 focal lengths including 16mm. I believe I saw no issue when using 4 filters in either of my Lee Holders.

Regular size filters so maybe 3 slim but for sure 2 regular . I tried 52 to 58 but only 1 filter would work . So minimum is going to be 62mm although they do make 60mm as well. Not going to buy you much except slimer look. But now you get a functional hood that don't rotate off when taking lens off or falling off . Plus it will help with flare. I also don't use front caps so it does protect the front elements

I am a bit confused with some of the posts regarding filters. Can someone tell me if a single CP (B+W XS-Pro K 52mm) will cause significant vignetting? I do not plan on stacking filters...

1 filter will work normally on the Loxia 21mm. So yes

Should be fine, no vignetting expected. I've stacked two 52mm Zeiss filters without vignetting (each being 4.5mm in height).

I received 52-82 step-up ring today and...it looks completely ridiculous attached to Loxia. Obviously it works though.

Also, I got 58->77mm ring which I chained together with 52->58mm ring. It looks a bit better and works as a tiny hood as well.

I'm going to try 58 to 62 today. I'm hoping it will work than I'll just get a extra set of 62 along with my 82. I have two lenses that are 43. Imagine that step ring. Ugly
