To me they're just snapshots with little aesthetic value.

Thanks for your 2 cents. I was not looking for lavish praise on this modest scene, but for an honest assessment of the processing, but perhaps that was not obvious : ) I have found members on this forum to be helpful with suggestions and since exposure / focus stacking is new to me, I was looking for some thoughts on how this turned out.

Hi George, I think #1 is the better photos out of the two. There is more to keep your eye in the image compared to the "busy" #2. There is just too much happening in #2 in my opinion. Next time might you try to shoot #1 in landscape orientation? I think that would help the photo especially with the nice bright green bushes nearby.
