I am lucky to live near several Washington State Fish and Wildlife areas. One of them is on Fir Island, at the mouth of the Skagit River (which drains the North Cascade Mountains). I went there in the late afternoon on Thursday to find some Shovelers and Yellowlegs. I had a hard time getting down any lower for these images. I guess I need to invest in a good set of waders.
