Hi everyone. Bittersweet to be typing this, but I have to. For sale is my prized lens, the Canon 50mm f/1.0 and the original hard case and lens hood.
Believe it or not, this is the second time I've owned the lens. I parted with the first copy last year (via FM) for strictly financial reasons and ended up picking up another earlier this year because I couldn't resist having it for a few projects. This particular lens was purchased from a professional that took great pains to care for it, as did I (I can supply additional info over PM). Rarely left the padded velvet case when I wasn't shooting with it. Cosmetically it's a 9. Glass is in excellent shape with nothing alarming. The lens must be microadjusted as with any other fast prime. Once you find the correct setting, this is really a superb lens. Not the sharpest of course, but the effect is second to none. AF is working just fine without an issue. It's not the fastest lens because it was made around 1990, but it is a beast in dark environments. Case has some wear on the outside as you can see. The padded velvet inside is in perfect shape with 2 little inserts.
Why am I parting with it again? I am all about liquid assets when it comes to pricier items and photography. If I need to fund something else, sometimes a piece has to go. I just moved into a new house this summer and have to take care of some car payments. Since I don't have as much time for shooting I can't let it sit around any longer. For anyone seeking to add one of Canon's most unique lenses to their arsenal...look no further!
Please check the sample shots and feel free to request other information or photos and I will do my best to answer your questions. I seek a net payment in PayPal but other options are negotiable. Thank you! |
