Hi all,
Just had an interesting experience with my Tokina lens. I have had my Nikon compatible Tokina for approximately 4 years. Last year, a screw came loose attaching my lens hood. Minus the loose lens hood and the sound of a loose screw, it worked perfectly on my D700's, D3s, and D810. This afternoon, I found a local camera repair shop that could service the lens in an hour (ie repair the loose screws).
I dropped off the lens, went to pick my son up from school, then returned to the repair shop to pick up the lens. The lens was attached to various Nikon bodies, and the was no AF. The LCD on top of the cameras read "0" in the aperture setting...meaning the lens is not recognized.
This new problem suggests the repair technician missed a lens connection, thus, lens & dslr are not communicating. Anyone experience this? And I am tempted to return the lens to the repair shop for further investigating for poor workmanship.
Any comments or further suggestions? Thanks!
Dejan
