p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Honeygrid 25 degree Profoto magnum grid vs. 10 degree grid

Hi,

I see the Honeygrid 25 degree grid is $119 for Magnum. How different is 25 vs. 10 degrees for portraits of single person?

Is the Honegrid easy to remove and durable?

Anyone use it and like it?

Thanks.

There is a significant difference between the two. 10 degrees on a Magnum or Elinchrom Maxilite is pretty tight. If you like a lot of contrast and your model has good skin, it's a good combination. I only have 25 degree Honeygrids but they are built well for the money. I wouldn't play frisbee with any grid though.

Thanks, Gregg (I think!). You just made it easier for me to pull the trigger on the Honeygrids.

for Honeygrids 25deg. here is various E-Series and other series light products available on line, like HoneyGrids E10 25deg. Grid for Elinchrom 10-1/4" Reflector, White,HoneyGrids SaberStrip 15deg. Grid, Black,HoneyGrids Speedotron 7" 3deg. Honeycomb Grid,HoneyGrids 12x12" 20Deg. Light Diffusion Polycarbonate Grid Material, White etc.find at reasonable prices. and for other side 10 deg grid is "The Impact 7" Grid (10 Degree) helps you control your light more precisely: this honeycomb grid, which will fit any standard 7" grid reflector (other than Broncolor or Profoto), gives you a very narrow 10° beam of light, perfect for an accent light or spot. A tension spring can stretch or arch to fit the reflector."
