Some of you may know that I'm an aviation fan. We can not come close to this bird stunt. Two flocks of about 1,000 terns intersect paths at about 90 degrees passing in between each other at full speed. I did not see a single bird fall from the sky. This is the very end of the maneuver and many of they are juveniles that have only been flying for about a month.

It is actually quite amazing that in the huge flocks we see from time to time that there aren't many mid air collisions....at least not ones that cause the birds to take a tumble. Millions of years of evolution obviously outdoes about a hundred or so years of aviation science. Nice photo as usual my friend.

Thank you Eric,
I see birds collide regularly yet they are so light they bounce off each other without doing any harm. The ability to fly in formation and in this case through one with another one is simply amazing
