p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · 5D III vs D800 file size with green screen

Hi - shot on green screen this weekend with a partner, his D800 files are all around 20meg and my 5DIII are 5meg, all in high jpg. Trying to figure out a 36 MP vs a 24 MP should not be 4:1. I have asked my partner to crop the green screen out on similar size athletes to determine if perhaps the canon sensors don't see detail in the green and account for that?

Very strange as the images look great in both even blown up.

Anyone have any thoughts?

The size of a jpeg in a compressed file is dependent both on image content and amount of compression. It's highly unlikely that the compression in both the Canon and the Nikon was the same, or even if the numerical scale between both cameras compression scale corresponds to one another if they were set to the same number.
