My first time shooting snowy owls. I am planning on a D500, but I may just keep this little gem

Accepted an invite to a NMRA event, the 200-500 did us a solid.

...and the D7200's AF never missed a beat.

Wow that is some impressive detail considering how fast that action is moving.

Only makes one wonder just how much better the D500 will be in terms of AF.

Thanks! The 200-500's AF is certainly up to the task. The D7200's great but even well timed,
I'd get a frame coming out of the stirrups---A FRAME AS SHOWN---and one as they hit the ground.
That's w/6 fps...I'm so looking forward to the D500 so I'll have a frame before AND after to choose from.

Definitely curious myself. I do a lot of equestrian events and have been considering the D500 more and more and just swapping out from my bulky FX gear. I'm just hoping the D500 is a considerable upgrade on the D7200. I'm still using my D7100 which i'm fairly content with along with a D750.

So hard to pull the trigger and go through a bunch of new gear.

Been here a while but haven't posted much. Thought it was time to upload something from my D7200 I took last night. I changed to 12bit and 1/3 crop to get 7fps and went to the park to check out the ducks & geese. This lazy duck didn't require the fast frame rate though

Awesome ducky pic!

Nothing but grey dreary weather & wind here, so the only option for outdoor color to test the new D7200 is getting in way too close. I think the Sig 150 is tuned fairly well. Still need to tune the 300, then I guess I'm good to go. I'm liking the D7200 a lot so far.
