p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Lightning illuminates medieval Church tower | |
Two weeks ago we had some thunderstorms passing by. At first I took to the open fields to photograph lightning, but after a close lightning strike I thought it would be better to go to a safer location. So these shots were taken from the upper deck of a parking garage surrounded by some high office buildings with a view on our 98 meter high old church tower build around the year 1460. It is located in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, approximately 70 km south-east of Amsterdam.
After the storm passed by i had some great cloud-to-cloud lightning which i was able to capture. I had no intention to stay up late, but it was 04:00 AM when i returned home. Luckily i did not have to go to work the next day.
