p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Tethering D610

I am trying to tether my D610 via a USB cable to my Windows 7 laptop. Windows Explorer allows me to view the pictures in the camera, both NEF and JPG.

My question is; How do I assign the JPGs directly to a folder in Explorer?

Thanx, E

Oh, I save the NEF to slot one and JPG to slot, and I have the same problem with my D7000.

Drag and drop. its a simple operation. this, by the way, this is not really a tethered opt (tethering is operating the camera from a remote device wired or wireless). its is simply downloading which can be done with much greater speed and efficiency with a USB3 card reader (which you are using your camera as a battery powered one) that costs about $13

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/815153-REG/Transcend_TS_RDF8K_USB_3_0_Multi_Card.html

your method just drains the camera battery at a higher rate and causes more recharge cycles thus reducing the overall lifespan of the battery.

if you wish to continue to use this method you should load viewNX-i and built in downloading utility
