Pores of a boletus toadstool.




The annual slime mould sporulation event on my front lawn - I get these patches about 5" in diameter

Brian,

I think the angular pores may be of a species of Suillus, which used to be part of Boletus. It is a matter of degree of angular shape, possibly not enough.

I'm fairly sure that the slime mould is a Fuligo species but probably not F. septica, maybe muscorum.
