"Older CompactFlash® cards are based on a subset of the old IDE protocol (like older computer hard drives) which indexed large volumes much the way a hard drive did, by using track and sector coordinates. Newer CompactFlash® cards are now SATA-based for improved interface speed. "

WTF? I thought everything CF used UDMA and was formatted either FAT32 or exFAT. CFast is not used in DSLRs.
