Came back from a family vacation with very limited chance to shoot landscape. Took the road to Hana, and this was my first stop. in about 10 minutes, I acquired about 30 Mosquito bites despite wearing repellent.

In any case, enjoyed shooting this waterfall pictures as the sun was rising through the branches. thanks for looking and comments.

Hey Kevin,

This is very nice, you caught it at the perfect time with the sun just rising but the ground still evenly lit in shadow. Very nice!

dont know how to mulitquote, but thank you Keith W, Fred Miranda, and Jim Fox. The long exposure waterfalls are a bit of cliche, but I always wanted to shoot one.

Isnot that the truth David? but you know, I have a feeling 15 years from now, I will far more cherish the family pictures than the waterfall picture.

Really nice shot and clean sunstar. All the subtle different green tones throughout the image are great. Perhaps a slightly less obstructed view of the falls would have been nice, but thats about all I can say!

I did take more unobstructed views. However, I liked this one the best b/c of the lush green. I could have moved to front of the water, but took a pretty nice fall on my bottom from the first step that I took, as the rocks were ridiculously slippery.
here are two other shots, but neither with the star burst, and I like the original one the best still
